This is the mud room in Justin's house.

Saturday 8/29: Flowers and rug

Flowers from Justin's garden.

Emily and I got lunch at this fun and delicious sushi place in Pike Place.

Thursday 8/27: Paddle rules

Colorful sign seen on our IS team kayaking trip.

Wednesday 8/26: Pickup

My car hung out behind this awesome old gas-guzzler while I barbecued it up at John Hanks' place. He is one of those people who I always think of by his full name.

Tuesday 8/25: Masks

Sweet wall decoration in the Cajun-ish restaurant where Alyssa and I had lunch.

Monday 8/24: Technicolor stems

So many colors in one plant.

Anthropologie has the best displays.

At Delancey, my new favorite restaurant.

Thursday 8/20: Cones

Justin and I saw tons of interesting things on our walk this evening. I don't know why these cones are here, maybe just to look nice next to the aqua dumpster.

Wednesday 8/19: Playground at night

At a school near Emily's place.

Tuesday 8/18: Red leaves, red car

I like how they match.

Monday 8/17: On the vine

What a cool tomato formation.

Bonus: those mystery things are in the background. This was my second sighting of them.

Sunday 8/16: Mystery fruit

Or vegetables? I found these little guys and arranged them in the grass with these cool twisty vines.

Saturday 8/15: Matches

You know what these are.

Friday 8/14: Marv

Looking up at Mei Li's spider plant, Marvin.

I almost did not get a photo today! I was about to fall asleep when I remembered. I almost did jinx myself with that last post. Also, my photo friends are back! Hooray!

Thursday 8/13: Rainstorm

A huge downpour drenched me on my way home from work.

Today I discovered that I am the last remaining person of the four I knew who were doing this year long photo project. But I am so finishing this thing! I am. Hopefully this does not jinx me.

Wednesday 8/12: Blue still life

I set up this little still life deal since I did not feel up to a photo walk. I really like all these items: Mei Li's dried hydrangea, one of my favorite movies, art postcard from the most recent downtown Art Walk, soap dish passed from grandma to me.

Tuesday 8/11: Treehouse

I hope some kid appreciates this.

Monday 8/10: Little house on the beach

I love this little house next to the lighthouse on the Fort Worden beach. It was a day of reliving old memories and creating new ones.

Sunday 8/9: Mission photo

Ryan really wanted a shot of him standing on his head in his suit. Most of us were afraid he would ruin his new suit just before leaving for his mission, but he made sure to find a dry spot of grass and it seemed to work out all right. I wish I had gotten this posted before he shipped off to London.

Saturday 8/8: Flowers in toilet

I saw some out of the ordinary yard decorations on this photo walk.

Friday 8/7: Red door

I am a fan of colorful doors.

Thursday 8/6: Black and white things

Justin and I stopped in this awesome little shop while we were doing the Art Walk thing. All of the displays were organized by color.

Wednesday 8/6: Salsa bar

Justin and I finally tried the famous La Carta De Oaxaca in Ballard, which is definitely worthy of all its praise! Those five bowls hold different types of salsas. We tried three of them.

Tuesday 8/4: String of lights

I love these lights that line Tyler's patio area.

Monday 8/3: Grandma's lamp

I have coveted Grandma's Tiffany lamp for years and she gave it to me!

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Sunday 8/2: Peach

A peach hanging on its tree.

Saturday 8/1: Out the window

Looking out Justin's window into another window.

Friday 7/31: King's Hardware

I love this wall of photos in King's, one of the places we went during Anna's night in town.

Thursday 7/30: Crooked

This bamboo stem snaked its way up from underneath the fence. The rest of the plant is growing on the other side.
